About Linda Consalvo

Linda  graduated from Salisbury State College in Salisbury, Md. in 1976 with a B.A. in English and French. She moved to St. Petersburg in 2002 and has been a flight attendant with USAirways for thirty years.  She currently flies internationally.   By the time Linda began practicing yoga in 2005 she had been suffering with severe back pain and sciatica since 1988 and had also experienced a dislocated hip.  Despite back surgery, Linda continued to experience debilitating pain with resulting depression and lost wages.  While receiving physical therapy at Edward White Rehabilitation Institute she noticed a schedule for Living Room Yoga and made a call to Stacy Renz.  After her very first private session, Linda became a believer in the power of yoga to awaken us to a world of endless possibilities. She went from being afraid to move to being a faithful student of Stacy Renz and Sally Watson over the next five years to graduating from the Life Balance Yoga Teacher training program in November 2010.

Linda has been a longtime believer in health and fitness, but credits yoga with helping her to break the cycle of chronic pain, bringing a feeling of empowerment and ease to her life. Her yoga practice has also been helpful in dealing with the rigors of being a professional road warrior -  "To me, finding yoga was like being reborn" she says, and is passionate about wanting to share with others the endless opportunities that yoga can bring to their lives.
