Cup Repair: Phase 1

Well I arrived here in Boston and decided my brain was just not working well enough to try and take the bus to the subway station to my destination – it turns out I was right because despite meticulous packing (I thought) I managed to leave my power cord to my laptop at home. Thus, I have to use my time judiciously until it arrives via overnight thanks to Jane. So I took a taxi – I splurged on a taxi – and arrived safely at Karin Stephan’s loft. My apartment is beautiful and peaceful and private. I took my first class here – a 2 hour advanced class – this evening. I must admit I was nervous … would I measure up yada yada yada. Soon it just didn’t matter. It felt marvelous! So marvelous in fact that I began to sense the crack in my energy cup begin to mend. Some of the energy generated by the class even stayed in the cup I think.

After class I actually chatted with an old student on the phone (I am not a “chatter”) and set off into the cool night to the supermarket. I tried not to look too much like an out of towner but I just couldn’t seem to help smiling at the people I passed. The cool nonhumid air was perfection. And alas, there is NO TV in the apartment. Instead of making me panic, I feel completely free and energized by not having that option. After I sign off here, I am actually going to READ A BOOK until I become drowsy and fall asleep.

More yoga in the a.m. … and all just for me…..ahhhhhhh.
