This course is an introduction to Ayurvedic Philosophy 101, a walk through the door of the Ancient Science of Life. This course is great for everyone that is interested in this over 5000 year old medicine and take control of their own well being.
We will cover:
*What is Ayurveda?
*What is Health inwestern thought versus what is health in Ayu thought
*What is the cause of disease?
* The 5 element theory (Panchamahabhuta’s)
*The 3 doshas
*Some simple lifestyle routines
There will be some goodies to help you get started as well!
This course is worth 4CEs through NCBTMB for LMT’s.

This course is facilitated by Barry Cooper, LMT, CYT & AHE.
Barry graduated from Florida College of Natural Health-Orlando Campus’s European Swedish Massage program. Barry studied Vedic Thai – Yoga bodywork with Michael “Mukti” Buck for over 10 years and is a Vedic Conservatory Instructor. On his quest to becoming an advanced Ayurvedic practitioner, he is currently attending California College of Ayurveda’s Distance Learning Program. Barry is working on completing his 500 hour yoga teacher training with the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA. Barry also received hands on Ayurveda training in massage treatments with Julia and Dinesh Mader of Rasayana Cove Retreat in Ona, Florida. Barry is an enthusiastic teacher who incorporates Ayurveda and yoga into his own life daily and who loves to help others transition to a more holistic approach to health (MA42548, MM29887, OT8447).
