Yoga at the Dentist

Recently I had the opportunity to appreciate and use the gift of yogic breathing at the dentist office. While I observed all the stressful elements going on – the prick of the needle as the dentist numbed the area, the sound of the drill, holding my mouth open – I was able to use breathing techniques and body scan awareness to keep my being calm and my body still throughout the procedure. The dentist warned me that the numbing agent would probably make me feel jittery – I never experienced this. I honestly felt calm throughout the whole experience. Experience this meditation here.
